SPA BOOKING & ARRIVAL

Services are booked by appointment only.

A valid credit card is required to hold a reservation for any service. This credit card will only be charged in the case of an under 48-hour cancellation or if client is a no-show to their booking.

When you arrive to your appointment please wait in your car and remain in your vehicle until you are texted or called when to enter. You will be greeted at the door by Katey and escorted into the treatment room.


RESHEDULE / CANCEL /LATE/ NO-SHOW

RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL:
Mindful Beauty values and appreciates your business. In order to respect everyone’s time, any rescheduling or cancelations be done 48-HOURS OR MORE prior to your scheduled appointment(s). Any time after the 48 hour mark of the scheduled appointment(s) will be deemed a last minute cancelation that will result in 100% full payment of services booked being held responsible by the client, regardless of the reason rescheduling or cancelling. The initial appointment time is still being lost and will likely result in a loss of time, income, and potential clients. Please contact Katey directly for exceptional circumstances and we can make other arrangements.

LATE ARRIVAL:
 
Mindful Beauty allows 10 minutes grace period for late arrivals. Please understand that there is a specific amount of time allotted for each service. All spa appointments have been designed to allow the appropriate time for the full enjoyment of the service. Late arrival may limit our ability to offer the fullest experience possible. Please be certain to text your practitioner if running past the scheduled appointment time. Minutes lost due to late arrival will be lost from your service, the price will be the same regardless if all parts of the service were able to be performed. If client is more than 10 minutes late the scheduled appointment will be cancelled and considered a no-show resulting in 100% full payment of the services booked.

NO-SHOW:
No-shows are when the client does not show up for their scheduled appointment regardless of “confirming” their appointment or not. the client needs to be present at time of service. All no-show clients are responsible for 100% full payment of services booked. Multiple no-show clients will no longer have access to book with Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey. Please contact Katey directly for exceptional circumstances and we can make other arrangements.

SICK:
If you are feeling unwell or are exhibiting any symptoms of illness, whether or not they are mild or severe, you must cancel your booking. If within less than 48-hours prior to your booking unfortunately the late reschedule/cancelation policy will be applied, no exceptions. If client arrives to scheduled appointment sick they will be asked to leave and considered a no-show within the same policies above stated.

NOTE:
If for any reason your appointment was booked without a credit card on file and the late/reschedule/cancel/no-show fee policy applies, you will be sent an invoice to be paid before any future bookings.


VIRTUAL OFFERINGS

By participating in any virtual offerings provided by Mindful Beauty facesbykatey, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Upon purchasing your virtual skin service you will receive an automated email to schedule your appointment plus a link to a detailed client intake form to be filled out and completed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. ***Please check all of your provided email inboxes***

Any rescheduling must be done at least 48 hours before your scheduled Zoom appointment date. You are responsible for scheduling your zoom date. Failure to submit your intake form or notify rescheduling needs on time, and no-shows will result in a non-refundable cancelled appointment. Rescheduling more than once will result in a non-refundable cancelled appointment.

Duration and Payment: Each virtual session is allocated a specific time slot. Should the session exceed the designated time, the client is responsible for additional charges based on the standard hourly rate. Payment for any extra time will be invoiced immediately following the session and is due upon receipt.

  1. Health and Safety: The information provided during virtual sessions is for educational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health providers with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. If you experience any discomfort or adverse effects during or after the session, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

  2. Technical Issues: Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey is not responsible for any technical issues experienced by the client, including but not limited to connectivity problems, hardware malfunctions, or software incompatibilities. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have a stable internet connection and compatible device for the virtual session.

  3. Privacy and Confidentiality: All sessions are conducted with the utmost confidentiality. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any electronic communications. Clients are advised to refrain from sharing sensitive personal information during virtual sessions.

  4. Recording, Reproducing, Sharing. Client acknowledges that no part of the virtual consultation with should be recorded in any form. This policy is in place to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all discussions and recommendations made during the consultation. Additionally, all skincare protocols, treatment plans, and guidance provided are the intellectual property of Mindful Beauty facesbykatey and are to be used solely for personal purposes. Sharing, reproducing, or distributing any part of the consultation materials, including proprietary methods and trade secrets, is strictly prohibited.

  5. Assumption of Risk: By participating in virtual sessions, clients acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved, including but not limited to the possibility of physical injury, allergic reactions, or skin irritation. Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey is not liable for any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of participation.

  6. Cancellation and Rescheduling: Any rescheduling must be done at least 48 hours before your scheduled Zoom appointment date. You the client are responsible for scheduling your zoom date.   7. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mindful Beauty facesbykatey disclaims any and all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the virtual offerings.

By scheduling and participating in a virtual appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

All products, treatments, and virtual services are not refundable or transferable

SANITATION & STERILIZATION

A clean safe beauty environment is top priority at Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey. Katey always follows outlined Health Canada guidelines and protocols to clean all tools, equipment, and surfaces. Tools are never reused before they are thoroughly cleaned. If at any time an item cannot be thoroughly cleaned after use it is disposed of.

PAYMENT METHOD

Cash is preferred, and accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Interac. Taxes and gratuities are not included in the service price.

GRATUITIES

Services do not include gratuity. Gratuities are preferred in cash only. Gratuities are entirely at your discretion and range on average from 15% to 20% of the total cost of treatment in the spa industry. Please know that gratuities are very much appreciated for time and services rendered but are in no way expected.

Specials/Promo/Sales can not be used or combined with any other offer, promotions or online vouchers.

LOST / MISPLACED ITEMS

Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey is not responsible for any lost or misplaced items. You may be asked to remove jewelry for some treatments. Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey does not assume liability for lost or forgotten personal items. If an item is forgotten and/or lost it is not Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey’s responsibility to reimburse or replace your item.

To get the most out of your experience with Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey please read and understand this disclaimer carefully before using this website or agreeing to use the services at Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey. All opinions and claims on this website and through Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey are based on my own research and knowledge. 

Need to knows:
We are unable to perform your brow lamination service if you have had a lamination under the last 8 weeks, or had an eyebrow tint and/or used a growth serum within the last 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Pause use of brow growth serums and ensure your eyebrows have not been tinted for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

We are unable to treat you if you have active cold sores, or had eyebrow tattooing, Botox or filler injected within the last 10 days prior to your appointment.

If you arrive to your appointment with these contraindications your service will be cancelled and you'll be charged the CANCELLATION FEE (listed in the above policies).

You are fully responsible for your own health throughout any treatment and/or stay with me and therefore it is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to undergo any treatment. You are hereby advised to seek advice from your doctor before undergoing any treatment with Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey.

Skin Consultation and Treatment Consent Forms must be filled out by all clients. This information is collected in order to ensure Katey has a clear understanding of your medical history, medications, active topicals being used, allergies, recent surgeries, etc. This will enable Katey to clearly identify any contraindications to treatments or products. The goal is to always ensure you are an optimal candidate for treatment(s) and to identify if a treatment needs to be altered to suit your needs. Your health and safety is my top priority - therefore it is mandatory to fill out all required forms and to be 100% honest in all answers. All medical information will be kept confidential and Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey abides by all privacy laws.

The esthetician of Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey may reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for inappropriate behavior, illness or conditions listed as contraindications for services or as deemed necessary. The client also has the right to stop the treatments at any time. The esthetician and Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey assumes no responsibility for any disclosed or undisclosed illness or personal injury. 

Mindful Beauty Facesbykatey has the right to cancel or reschedule a treatment without notice and has the right to change your service without notice. 

By calling, emailing or scheduling your appointment online or directly, you are indicating that you understand and accept these terms and conditions outlined above.
